Porosity is basically how well your hair or beard retains moisture and oils. When you know your porosity, it’s easier to find ingredients and products that are compatible with your beard. They’re 3 different types of porosities, high, mid, and low. Test your porosity by getting glass water and putting a strand of your hair in it. If it floats, it’s low porosity if it sinks it’s high porosity and if it stays in the middle, it’s mid porosity. Low doesn't mean bad and high doesn't mean good.
