Beard Oil

To maintain and grow your beard you have to know your porosity.

This is the actual secret to effectively growing and taking care of your beard... 😉

Porosity is basically how well your hair or beard retains moisture and oils. When you know your porosity, it’s easier to find ingredients and products that are compatible with your beard. They’re 3 different types of porosities, high, mid, and low. Test your porosity by getting glass water and putting a strand of your hair in it. If it floats, it’s low porosity if it sinks it’s high porosity and if it stays in the middle, it’s mid porosity. Low doesn't mean bad and high doesn't mean good.

Low Porosity- Curly to Coiled

Your beard or hair doesn't easily allow moisture to be absorbed into your hair shaft.

Mid Porosity- Straight to curly

Your beard or hair allows a steady but moderate amount of moisture to be absorbed into your hair shaft.

High Porosity- Straight to wavy

Your beard or hair easily allows moisture to be absorbed into your hair shaft.
